On the Individual plan you confirm your school role. Schools and districts work under a data privacy agreement that spells out exactly how data is handled, alongside the student data addendum. Either way, student data is encrypted with managed keys, every read is logged, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
Questions we hear a lot
How much does OrganizeClass cost?
Individual is $15 per teacher a month, and your first month is $9, which is 40% off. Yearly is $120 per teacher, which is $10 a month and saves you $60 a year. School and District are priced per teacher too, at a rate that depends on how many of you there are, so ask us for a quote.
How do I pay, and can I get a receipt?
By card, in US dollars, through Stripe. Yes: Stripe emails a receipt for every payment, showing the amount, the date and the plan, which is what a stipend or school budget claim needs. You change your card or cancel from Billing, and we never see your card details.
What if I need more than 3 classes?
Delete a class you no longer teach and the slot frees straight away, and an archived class can be brought back for a year. The plan covers 3 classes of up to 40 students each. Past that, School pricing covers a whole staff under one agreement, so get in touch.
Can I share a class with another teacher?
Yes, with as many colleagues as you like. A class is billed to whoever owns it, so anyone they invite can score in it without paying. Everyone works under their own login, so each score is recorded against the person who gave it. They need a plan of their own only to start a class of their own.
Is there a free plan or a free trial?
No to both. Individual is $9 for the first month, then $15 a month. Every account holds student records, and setting one up means confirming in writing that you are school personnel, authorized by your school to hold them.
What happens to my students' records if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your classes go read-only: every score, note and photo stays where it is, and export keeps working, so you can always leave with your own records. Subscribing again restores writing immediately.
How is student data protected?
Student data is encrypted on our servers with managed keys, every read of it is logged, and we never sell it, use it for targeted advertising, or build advertising profiles from it. On the Individual plan you confirm you are school personnel and that your school permits you to hold this data; on School and District plans a signed data privacy agreement does it, and an admin provisions access. This is in line with FERPA and Oregon's Student Information Protection Act.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes, from your billing page, and the change starts at your next renewal. You keep the period you have already paid for, so nothing is charged on the day you switch.
Do you give refunds?
No. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then your classes go read-only. We do not refund the unused part of a month or a year, which is what the discounted first month is for.
How do we bring OrganizeClass to our school or district?
Tell us about your school and we will help start the data privacy agreement. Once it is signed, an admin provisions your staff and their classes.
